Disability and Carers Program - Disability Inclusive Health Practices grant opportunity
The Australian Government is inviting Get Skilled Access via a closed non-competitive process to apply to deliver services under the Disability and Carers Program, Disability Inclusive Health Practices grant opportunity in Victoria from 2021–22 to 2022–23. Funding will be offered to one organisation as a result of this process.
The Disability Inclusive Health Practices grant opportunity is part of the Department of Social Services’ Disability and Carers Program. The program provides support to people with disabilities and carers to actively participate in community and economic life. The purpose of the program is to support the independence and economic participation of people with disability and carers by providing targeted supports.
The project will consist of the delivery of a multi-platform (online, digital media and face-to-face seminars) education and training program on disability awareness to health professionals at 5 Victorian hospitals. The objective of this grant opportunity is to increase the understanding of healthcare professionals with regard to disability and inclusive practices within a healthcare setting.
